Brandice Bartholomew chose to pursue a career in cosmetology because she knew it would allow her to express her creativity in many ways and she would also be able to set her own schedule. She chose Tri County Tech to help her attain her dream because of the TCT Cosmetology program’s many options (aesthetician, nails, and hair), small class sizes, and proximity to home.
While at Tri County Tech, Brandice learned that her customers would all be partners in her mission. She says, “My instructors taught me the importance of self-discipline and how to please my clients. Pleasing clients is the only way to succeed in this industry.” Brandice valued “the hands-on, real life situational experiences” that prepared her for the workforce and her career. She currently works as a board-licensed cosmetologist.
The Tri County Tech Foundation made all the difference for Brandice as she studied to obtain her cosmetology license at Tri County Tech. Brandice says, “It seems as though many people feel like they are unable to pursue their educational goals because of financial instability. The Foundation helped me turn my goals into reality.”
