Full-time Cosmetology student Alisha Ally, has found her passion and where she wants to plant her roots – as a cosmetologist in the Midwest. She has been working full time for many years for company that has kept her traveling extensively. And although she’s grateful for the experiences she’s had, Alisha said traveling can be hard on a relationship which is why she realized she was ready for a “career.” Yet, when she started looking for job she wasn’t able to find any she liked. After doing some soul-searching, Alisha realized she wanted to pursue a career as an esthetician within a medical spa and one day open her own spa. She loves the idea of being able to set her own hours so that she could start a family.
With the support of the TCT Foundation, Alisha was able to start on her career path and hopes to graduate by May 2017. Her only regret? Alisha says, “I wish I would have started at Tri County sooner!”
Alisha is thriving in the fast-paced Cosmetology program and says that she is grateful for the instructors, who are always so understanding and patient. As a left-handed stylist, Alisha has had to find creative ways to learn how to cut and style hair. Thanks to a connection to a local hairdresser made by her TCT instructor, Alisha is mastering the skills needed to excel in her field.
