Robert Paiva and Dr. Lisa Bliss were recently named to the Tri County Technology Center Foundation Board of Directors.
The eight-member board is responsible for establishing and setting policies; overseeing the endowment and other investments; managing the business affairs and assets of the foundation; and making financial grant decisions.
Paiva was born in Bitburg, Germany, and raised in Euless, Texas, and Tulsa. He received his bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Oklahoma State University in 1988, master’s degree in business administration from Oklahoma City University in 1994 and executive master’s degree from the University of Illinois in 2002.
Currently, Paiva is the operations manager for Siemens Industry Inc. Process Analytics Business Segment in Bartlesville. He is responsible for the planning, organizing and directing of all activities of the Process Analytics operations facilities in Bartlesville and Houston. Process Analytics manufactures precision analytical solutions globally for all major industries to promote optimization, safety compliance and improving customer profitability.
Bliss graduated from Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in science. She received her master’s in education and doctorate from Oklahoma State University.
A lifetime educator, with over 30 years in the field, Bliss spends the majority of her professional time helping schools integrate technology into the classroom. She is currently employed with Edgenuity, which provides courses that meet common core and state standards and engages students through robust content delivered by interactive, media-rich instruction and experienced, certified teachers.
Previously, Bliss spent more than ten years teaching at Stillwater Public Schools.
Paiva and Bliss join an established board of directors comprised of local leaders, including Jason Hopkins, Sherry Musselman-Cox, Stephen O. Colaw, Paul Turcott, Barbara Herren and Mike Boultinghouse.
