Kumar Krishnan was born and raised in India. He spent his childhood in Mumbai (formerly known as Bombay) until he completed 7th grade. After that time, his father retired and they moved to their home state of Kerala in South India. Upon completing his high school education, Mr. Krishnan obtained a degree in Printing Technology with having the distinction of being ranked first in the State of Kerala in that program. He then helped to set up and operate the printing facility for a newspaper firm in Kerala. He is fluent in two Indian languages.
Mr. Krishnan married Sujatha (Vasudevan) in 1987 and emigrated to the United States shortly thereafter. He obtained his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Wichita State University in 1992, graduating Cum Laude. Mr. Krishnan joined AAON, a commercial rooftop HVAC manufacturer in Tulsa, where he was their Senior Mechanical Engineer. He joined Service & Technology Corporation (STC) in 1998, and became the President and CEO of STC and their wholly-owned subsidiary, Service & Manufacturing Corporation (SMC) in 2004. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Oklahoma.
Mr. Krishnan was honored as the 2003 Outstanding Engineer of the Year award by Oklahoma Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE). He served on the Board of OSPE, volunteered as a grader for MATHCOUNTS, and served as OSPE’s head judge for the Bartlesville District Science Fair. He served as the Secretary (2003-04) and President (2005-06) of the Bartlesville Daybreak Rotary Club. He is the Vice President of Bartlesville Lincoln Elementary School Scholarship (BLESS) Fund, Inc., and is on the Advisory Committee for the Tri County Tech Pre-Engineering program. He is also serving on the Board of Directors of Cherokee Area Council Boy Scouts of America and Richard Kane YMCA.
Mr. Krishnan and his wife have one son and two daughters. He became a proud Citizen of the United States in 1995.
