Tri County Tech’s (TCT) Practical Nursing program will soon be the beneficiary of a generous $10,000 scholarship donation from St. John Health System. According to Lisa Geresi, TCT Foundation’s Director of Development, the Jane Phillips Memorial Scholarship will benefit a deserving nursing student, contributing to the TCT Foundation’s vision that no student is denied an education due to lack of funds. “We are thrilled to deepen the successful partnership between Jane Phillips Medical Center and Tri County Tech that began over 50 years ago,” said Geresi. “The practical nursing program began in the basement of the original hospital before becoming a fully funded program at Tri County Tech.” The St. John committee confirmed the TCT Foundation’s work to serve the community, as well as the future bond and relationship between the organizations, when awarding this scholarship. The Jane Phillips Memorial Scholarship is the seventh named scholarship added to the Tri County Tech Legacy Wall.
