On March 9, 2017, the Tri County Tech Foundation hosted its first Scholarship Recipient Luncheon. It was a time for the Foundation to honor representatives of its six Named and Endowed Scholarships and to allow selected student recipients to meet their educational benefactors. Named Scholarships represent individuals and foundations who have gifted the TCT Foundation with $10,000-$24,999, while an Endowed Scholarship represents a gift of $25,000-$99,999. Scholarship recipients met their educational benefactors who played a significant role in helping them meet their educational goals, and benefactors were able to put a face with a student’s name. It was a time for both recipients and benefactors to learn more about one another, what role the Foundation played in their lives, and to mutually share an appreciation for their common goals in furthering one’s education. After a delicious meal catered by TCT’s Culinary Arts students, Superintendent Lindel Fields shared a chronicling of the Foundation’s history, which dates back to 1967. Our time ended with each scholarship recipient being presented with a certificate identifying their Named or Endowed Scholarship representative.
